When you don’t have a yard or the weather is terrible, it’s not always possible to fire up your outdoor grill. And there are times when you may want smokeless grilling indoors. But it can be challenging to find a high-quality electric indoor grill that has the versatility of an outdoor grill.
The Cusimax Smokeless Grill gives you all the benefits of outdoor grilling with its large cooking surface and fast heating time. It also features adjustable heating options with an indicator light to easily monitor its temperature and turn it off when you’re done cooking.
But does it perform as well as some of the other indoor grills on the market?
I put this grill through its paces with my Cusimax Smokeless Grill review to find out.
Target Users
The Cusimax Electric Smokeless Grill is a highly affordable option for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to get their grilling on — without the hassle or expense of traditional outdoor grill methods.
The unit is lightweight and easy to transport, meaning it’s perfect for anyone who loves barbecuing but doesn’t necessarily have the space in their garden to accommodate a more traditional grill. It’s ideal for those living in apartments or condos where traditional grilling is not an option.
My Experience with the Cusimax Electric Smokeless Korean Indoor BBQ Grill
Over the past decade, I have grilled with everything from charcoal briquettes to propane gas. I was super excited about trying out Cusimax because it is entirely electric, so there’s no need for me to stand over a grill and worry about it burning down.
After using this grill for about six months, I have to say I’m pretty happy with it! It’s incredibly easy to use and provides a great way to cook meat indoors without having your house smell like smoke.
Here are my findings from using the Cusimax Smokeless Grill:
First Impression
At first look, I found the Cusimax Electric Smokeless Grill to seem like a cross between a George Foreman and an electric skillet. It has a nonstick grill surface, completely flat, with no raised grill ridges. The surface measures about 19 x 12 x 5 inches—big enough to cook 4-5 burgers at once.
The heating element is underneath the grill and is controlled by a knob on the side that lets you dial in your ideal temperature. There’s also an indicator light that turns on when the grill is on.
It’s made of cast aluminum and comes with a nonstick drip tray that slides out from underneath the grill to collect grease and fat. The grill itself is dishwasher safe, but you’ll have to hand wash the drip tray.
Easy Setup and Use
The grill is really easy to use. You just plug it in, set the temperature, and start cooking.
The nonstick surface makes it easy to grill your food without worrying about sticking or flipping it over. And since there’s no smoke or flames, you don’t have to worry about grilling indoors.
The only downside is that the grill doesn’t have a timer, so you’ll have to keep an eye on it to make sure your food doesn’t burn. But other than that, it’s a really easy grill to use.
Genuine Smokeless Cooking
The grill indeed is smokeless. I was a little skeptical at first, but it really does work. It uses a built-in cross-flow fan to circulate the heat and cook your food evenly.
The food tastes great, too. I tested it by cooking some chicken breasts, which came out perfectly juicy and tender. I also tried beef, some veggies, and even a few pancakes. The meat came out juicy and evenly cooked, and the vegetables were grilled to perfection. The pancakes were also lovely and fluffy.
I was pleasantly surprised at how little smoke came from the grill. There was virtually no smell of smoke in my kitchen after cooking either, and my smoke detector didn’t go off once.
Convenient Temperature Settings
The Cusimax Smokeless Grill has a range of temperatures from 200 to 450 degrees, so you can cook whatever you want. This is really convenient if you’re not sure what you want to grill or if you’re going to switch things up. And since the grill is digital, you can easily see the temperature and adjust it if needed.
Fast Heating and Even Cooking
One of the things I love most about the Cusimax Smokeless Grill is that it heats up almost instantly. I was able to grill my food in a fraction of the time it would have taken on my traditional outdoor grill. And because the heat is circulated so evenly, there’s no need to flip your food or move it around—which is great when you’re hungry and don’t want to wait for dinner for ages!
Easy to Clean
The Cusimax Smokeless Grill is also very easy to clean — all you need to do is wipe down the grill and drip the tray with a cloth or paper towel after each use, and it’s good as new. This is really nice if you’re short on time or don’t want to spend a lot of time cleaning up after grilling.
Great for Grilling Anywhere
The Cusimax Smokeless Grill is great for grilling anywhere. It doesn’t matter if you’re in your backyard or camping in the woods.
This is really handy because it means that you always have a grill at your disposal, no matter where you are. And since it doesn’t produce any smoke, it’s also great for grilling in places where you might not be able to grill otherwise. Plus, the grill is fairly lightweight, so it’s easy to bring with you wherever you go.
Why Should You Use It?
The smokeless operation is undoubtedly the top-notch feature of the Cusimax Indoor Grill. But apart from that, here are some more reasons you’ll want it in your kitchen.
- Super-fast heat-up time for instant food preparations.
- The adjustable heat settings (200-450F) let you grill your food just the way you like it.
- See-through lid to monitor your food without lifting the lid and releasing heat.
- The drip tray collects grease and fat, so your grill stays clean while keeping your food healthy.
- The nonstick cooking surface makes it easy to clean.
- Compact and easy to store; ideal for small spaces.
- With its detachable power cord, the grill can be used anywhere.
Why You May Not Want to Use It
This grill’s only drawback is its lack of a timer. I like to be able to set a timer and forget it so I know when my food is done. Granted, this grill doesn’t require flipping or rotating like an open grill would, so you don’t have to worry about it burning, but a timer would be nice.
Alternative Options
If the Cusimax Indoor Grill doesn’t appeal to you, or you don’t have the money to spend on it, there are a few other indoor grill options on the market.
- Cusimax Raclette Electric Grill Table
- Power XL Smokeless Indoor Electric Removable Grill (read the full review here)
- Techwood Indoor Grill Smokeless Grill
The first one is a wise option if you’re looking for something that can do more than just grill. The second one is a good choice if you’re looking for something easy to use and doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. And the last one is an excellent budget-friendly option.
These grills have their pros and cons, so you’ll want to do your own research before deciding which one is best for you.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I think the Cusimax Smokeless Grill is an excellent option for anyone who wants an indoor grill that doesn’t produce any smoke. It’s easy to use, doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, and comes with a bunch of handy features. Plus, it’s affordable compared to some of the other options on the market.
